I believe they are also starting the first non stop flight between Mumbai and Guwahati before the end of this month. Check the Flight Schedules link on KF's website. That will be an interesting > 3 hour flight connecting the East with the West. Looking forward to reading a trip report by anyone who travels this route. _________________ I love to fly. |

What equipment would be used for IMF?? Will it be ATR or Just my guess the A319 flight that goes either to Dibrugarh or Agartala, are they dropping one of those to accomodate Imphal or is it a new flight?
Yeah even i noticed the mumbai-guwahati flight. But surprisingly there still isn't Delhi-GAU flight. I would absolutely love that. I am a FF to GAU.
Cheers

KF flight from GAU to IMF is being introduced by withdrawing the thrice weekly flight on the GAU DIB sector. This is the extension of the daily flight BLR HYD CCU GAU .On the other days (except SUN) of the week, the flight will continue to fly to IXA from GAU.
Keeping in mind that IMF GAU has heavy competition with DN and Indigo flying daily, Jet five times weekly and Indian twice weekly (and a fare of Rs 1200 all inclusive to boot!), the impact of KF on this route will be marginal to say the least.
Even on CCU IMF, there is lot of competitioon with Jet operating six times a week, IC daily and DN twice daily (one non stop), KF with its thrice weekly services via GAU cannot expect to get much loads.
You of course now have the convenience of flying direct (same plane service) from BLR to IMF via HYD CCU and GAU, but in many cases it will be probably a quicker alternative and defintely cheaper to transfer via CCU. |
