Parvez Damania, who started a leading private airlines in 1993, is now venturing into aviation academy with an investment of Rs 45.5 crore initially, says a UNI report.
The report says that it is to be called the Excellence Aviation Academy (EAA), and will have training programmes in cargo, security, ground services and subsequently programme for pilots.
It is to have 48 training centres across India by 2008 end. By November it will start the pilot training programme.
The ground services and other training programmes have been given to 21 franchisees across India and the pilot training programme will be wholly owned by the company.
Starting its overseas operations, the company will also come up with a franchisee training centre in Dubai by January 2008 at an area of 7,000 sq ft.
The pilot training programme, which will begin in November, will have an initial investment of Rs 25 crore. The company is likely to choose Kolhapur airport in Maharashtra for the purpose.
It is to be on lease to the academy for 5 years.
The EAA will also be buying 10 Cessna-172, priced at Rs 1 crore each, for pilot training.
Delivery will begun by October. and 10 by May 2008. |

Cashing in on the Market requirements.However His History with Aviation has not been longterm successfull till date.
