IMO this type of seating will work well only on trains. _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

Well, you already have something like this in the Club Class seats on BA, and things do get disconcerting having to look at the pax in the next seat all the time. Furthermore, the fun of looking out of the window is totally gone if you have to keep peering out in reverse.
I would hate to travel on something like this, especially in the rear facing middle seat, even if it meant an increase in seat width.
Now, however, if they placed a sleeper berth like on long-distance buses on top of the seat, then maybe, just maybe . . . . |

Won't the passengers sitting in the middle feel uncomfortable while taking off and landing? _________________ www.flickr.com/G-BYGB photos |

well who likes to sit in the middle. but these seats really look uncomfortable. imagine sitting 9 hours on that seat, watching those 2 persons right opposite you. |

Southwest Airlines used to have some rear facing passenger seats. Not sure if they still do. |

For me personally 90% of the problem would be the possibility of staring someone else in the face. It would feel a bit weird during the cruise/descent but shouldn’t be anything unusual during cruise (it's not a train)
I always wanted to fly BA club class and sit backwards; too bad they are taking those out. _________________ eP007 |
