Why such horrible timings? Is it meant to connect to some international flight in Chennai?

Looks like pure utilization flying. The return flight would be total dud.

I think MAA is known as a city which sleeps early... and returning that late is not something which is preferred in any city !

At the right prices, any flight will fill up, so that's probably what G8's aiming for....

It appears that BOM will now have a 1 stop direct flight to Port Blair. Although on the return a 2 hour layover is quite long. Many airlines have 1 stop from DEL to IXZ and Jet has from HYD to IXZ via MAA.

I get it now. It is the same a/c that departs MAA for BOM at 05:20. The only way to place it in MAA is to bring it back from PNQ at that odd hour.

Can we PLEASE avoid opening new threads on whims and fancies. There is already an existing thread on the exact same topic, as if GoAir was so big that we need a separate thread to discuss their Chennai launch, and then open another thread to copy paste airlineroute info on the three Chennai flights of GoAir.

No need to get pissy.

While I agree that another thread about Chennai did not need to be opened, where do you suppose GoAir news should be posted? Is there a GoAir News thread somewhere like with some other airlines?

How about these 5 earlier threads. One of which is current and is focussed on GoAir launching Chennai

http://airlinersindia.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=11934

Mods, can we please have one thread for GoAir, just like we do for each of the other domestic carriers?

Also, can we request the mods to please consolidate the threads and let us keep airlines grouped together.

1. I don't have the ability to consolidate threads, but can lock the older ones after adding a pointer to the new Go Air News thread. LMK if that would work?
2. From what I recall, the mods have neither opened nor mandated the "Airline thread", it's just that airlines like AI/ 9W/ IT have so much activity, that their threads were probably opened by members and stuck. As a member has already opened up a GoAir thread, would encourage other members to post into that thread.
