To post a pic. While you are typing a message click on the Img button on top and put the link and then click the image button again.
This works. Before this i tried doing it manually i.e. without pressing the button and it didnt work.

OK .. U are trying a URL not a IMG
Code: |

|
Whereas a plain image link
Code: |

|
Thx,

What you need to do is to have a static link and not a query which might be an image.
I think, this board doesn't query the site to see if it is an image.
Try this
Code: | |

Tell me how did you manage to get that static picture?

It's right there, the stuff in green. Just use the starting from [ img ... to /img] |

One thing I noticed that there shouldn't be word "search" in the URL. If so, it doesn't work. |

Nope.
The URL should be a just a IMG URL pointing to an image and not a CGI URL which might be a query
E.g.
Code: |

|
will just print this :

whereas
Code: |

|
will show the actual image
Note that the 2 URLs are similar and top one is query which this board does not understand whereas the bottom one is a pointer to an image. |

Thats right it will only display the image if that URL contains the image. So ok 380 try this
Step 1) Hunt for an image on google.
Step 2) When you find the image, click on it
Step 3) V V IMP. Goto the location where it says "See fullsize image".
Step 4) Once youve done that you should only see the image and not a website with other data on it. Thats the link you want.
Step 5) Copy that link
Step 6) In this box click in the Img icon on top under the subject.
Step 7) Paste the link
Step Click on the Img* icon on top.
This should def do the job. Although you wont see the image until you submit the post.

Check out post 3 in this thread .. I've exactly explained. Although it will not show the big image, you can show the small one which can get linked to myaviation.net.
For finding the URL of the small static image, On the images in myaviation.net, click on generate html (code). In that you will see a URL with "small" in the path and ending in jpg. |

Thats interesting. It has always worked for me. Are you certain you are using the finalr url that refers only to the image? Because thats the one you should be using.
Cheers
PS Send me a link to the pic you want to post and let me see what happens. _________________ Geniuses are always misunderstood in their lifetimes. |

Here's what I do (I use FireFox as my browser).
1. Browse to the actual picture that you want to share/link to
2. Right click on the image and say "Copy Image Location"
3. Open a new browser and paste the link just copied and ensure that the image comes up.
4. Then go to the ai.net page where I want to post and embed the link copied in step (2) above between the type tags. |

Folks,
I would request you not post mega size photos on the thread. It makes it hard to navigate and kills the pleasure as we are unable to see photo in one view.
Both, Flickr and Photobucket allow you to direct link Medium size images that easily fit into the frame of the thread.
Please be particular about it.
thnx
