BACKGROUND

My Boards Were Over So Decided to visit Dubai For a Small Vacation, to visit the worlds tallest building , BURJ KHALIFA and many more attractions Dubai provided.

AT THE AIRPORT

My Flight was scheduled to take off at 09.45 so I reached the airport at 07.15.My parents & my friend had come to drop me off. As soon as entering Terminal 2C, I saw a huge queue for my flight check in. In spite of having checked in online, there was no benefit. There was only 1 counter open which resulted in a big queue. It took me around 30mins to check in. finally I got my boarding pass. Then I proceeded to the immigration. That was quicker. Then I proceeded to the waiting area for boarding.I walked down the entire terminal to have a look at the duty free shopping and the variety of restraurants.Alot of changes were going on at the airport. The Construction of the new terminal was at full swing.
Here Are Some Pictures inside the Terminal 2C

BOARDING

Boarding Began At 0915 According To The Aircraft Zones through their Aerobridges. They were old and smelly with no glass panes. First & Business Boarded Prior To Us. My seat was in the D Zone of the aircraft. The FA’s greeted us. There was a lot of traffic at BOM so after pushback we were waiting for at least 15mins.there was a big queue for the morning departures.

Nice TR Saif! Nice pics too! Could you describe the menu options offered by Emirates? Also, did the 3-4-3 seating feel uncomfortable for either the pax or crew, esp while food was being served?

Rgds,
Pats

Great pictures and an excellent first report!

Some more questions for you: How full were the flights? What was the typical passenger mix - how many were destined to DXB vs. how many connecting onwards? Why did you choose to fly EK on this sector? How was the service on board? Were any of the crew behaving differently with whites/ sheikhs vs. desis? How well behaved were the desis on board (we keep hearing horror stories of desis misbehaving on the gulf sectors)?

Why did you choose to fly EK on this sector?

How was the service on board? Were any of the crew behaving differently with whites/ sheikhs vs. desis? How well behaved were the desis on board (we keep hearing horror stories of desis misbehaving on the gulf sectors)?

Its been so long that I've landed in Mumbai during the day, that the endless vista of slums just before touchdown, stunned even me.

Nice Report & I liked the take off/landing videos.

The food seems tasty and filling for a short flight.

Are the passengers more disciplined on an EK flight as compared to AI/IC? Also curious to know if EK attracts blue collar workers as you mention the fare is dirt cheap?
