Well just post about your Cell phone service provider, same as in non-aviation forum on airliners.net. Which company, plans, quality etc etc.
I'll start.
I have an IDEA iCARD prepaid. Great plan. Any 5 STD GSM nos at local rates and 25p national SMS. just 1re/day rental. Great for me.
Cheers

MTNL's Dolphin prepaid card. Best prices & it was the only one to offer rental free roaming when I bought it _________________ MRVC Mania. My blog dedicated to the new violet-white suburban rakes of Mumbai. |

I used to have a Orange Post paid account when in Bombay but after the Monsoon Deluge in 2005, it took a week for Orange to come online and at that point only Airtel was functioning....
Hence my vote goest to Air Tel.....

Airtel post paid - rip-off plan.
Rent + International roaming + call conferencing + Blackberry etc - the basic rental itself is some Rs. 1347/month!!!!
And call charges are still a rip-off Rs.1 for local GSM, 2 for local Landlines and Rs. 2+ for STD |

Currently:
Vodafone NZ Prepay
Local calls to cellphones and landlines 89cents/min ie Rs27/min
Calls to India : 89 cents/min. $2/ 10 mins (Offer)
SMS: Vodafone to Vodafone 2000/month for $10. Otherwise 20c/msg. All other SMS 20c/msg.
Roaming: Lets not go there
While in India last year:
Used Hutch Delhi, although I was in DEL for only 2 weeks. Spent 2 months roaming in India on the same number and got royally ripped off.

When i was in INdia i got Airtel, called Mel a few times lol.. I prefer the post paid system here in the US... X amount of mins for one monthly fee, which includes Free calling after 7 (depending on the plan) or 9pm and unlimited mobile-mobile and free weekend mins..
Here I have Cingular.. |
