Hi All

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I wanted to know where I can get the flight sim game whose pics have been posted on the previous thread. I have played MS flight sim a few years ago but not recently.

Also, what are the requirements for the pC.

Thanks

Go for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 (Cost= 800INR). It has a lot more add-ons than FSX.

And get yourself a joystick with a swivel/twist handle. It will be shitty to play with the keyboard. Go for a Logitech one, they're good.

If you are in India, you can get a copy of FlightSim 2004 easily in any Planet M store.

Do not go for the FS2002 version just becoz its cheap, It will make you bald. Twisted Evil

Regarding the handware,
First upgrade your RAM to 1Gb.

Slowly as you get pro at FlightSim, Cool
Upgrade to a 2Gb RAM + 512MB Grafix Card.

If you follow these guidelines, you will have uneventful flights.

Hope this helped you! Feel free to ask more questions.

my specs for my simming rig... and i still struggle when FS renders a whole lot of intensive sceneries approaching big airports with clouds and water textures..

Intel E8400
Asus P5k Deluxe wifi
eVGA 8800GT KO 512 gfx card
Crucial Ballistix Tracers DDR2 800 4-4-4-12 1GB x 4 (4GB)
and a lot of other stuff Razz

display is a Dell SP2208WFP @ 1680x1050 resolution..

so basically... if you really wanna enjoy FS... you need a pretty decent rig. Else it'l just leave you with a bad taste in the mouth and frustrating gfx.

Then come addons and other tweaks to get the best out of the game Smile

Well you can a few FS2004 stuff in FSX. But no guarantee. Why dont you use FS2004? FSX seems want a super comp.

And to add aircrafts:

Put the aircraft folder into aircraft
effects (if any) into effects in the main fs9/10 directory
gauges (if any) into gauges

This shud do the job.

Hi,
I suggest u do some training flights with Cessna's and get familiarize yourself with FS and Airports that u would like to fly with most often before moving on the Boeings and Airbuses. Avsim is a nice site. Also remember this FS is only a sim and most of the Indian Airports only have a runway and no Apron or Parking. Try AFCAD if you want to add these. Many AFCAD files are available on AVSIM. Download and install them.

Cheers
Shivendra

Most common approach : VOR RXX , NDB RXX @ ABCD Wink

you might want to be a bit more specific. Give more details and get more answers instead of wisecracks as above

this place is way better than google Smile

I have a question on Flight Simulator X that I just installed. I chose the a/c as the 737-800 and did the requisite config (hdg, crs, spd, etc.) however, the a/c seems to trim itself to 10deg, is there a trim sheet that can be reviewed in this software to understand what is going on?
