I'll remember my first and so far only flight in the Cessna Twin Otters of Royal Nepal Airlines. Flight was delayed for one hour because of technical snag. Finally after boarding it in a bus depot style we found the 18 seater plane completely empty except we three and another lady.

There was NO door between the cockpit and the passenger seats. One cabin crew to give us a chocolate and a cotton packet preflight. And a glass of juice along with a peanut packet for the rest of the 25 min flight.

Aircraft flew on VFR, cabins were not pressurized as aircrafts were flowing at very very low levels. The window on the side of the pilot had a lever like in cars to bring it down (YES I'M serious !!!) Pilots had a small 10 inch diameter fan like in taxies in BOM.

While landing in Pokhara aircraft enter the final course just about a 100 feet away from the runway!!!
Scary but a unique experience!

An Air Panama Cessna Caravan between Panama City and a small island with a resort. It was my only experience in a small aircraft to date, and there was no door between the cabin and cockpit, no FA, and only my family was on that flight.

I had a scary incident in a take off with Vayudoot and after that vowed never to look at them again.

When i was a kid i flew american frm chicago to miami n it was raining so the ac came to land but did a go arnd ....i was on the window seat we almost touched the rwy before the pilot pulled up...dont rmmber the ac type..

I have done a small a/c flight between New Bedford and Martha's Vineyard on a 2 seater and i was co-pilot... I could listen in on ATC talk, touched a/c instruments, taxieed a lil bit... et al... That was truly the most memorable experience I have had....

I've been on a mountain flight from Pokahara to Jomsom (JMO / VNJS) and around the Ananpurna on a DC-3 piloted by a friend's husband.

Anyone who has flight sim should check out the approach and take off route out of Jomsom to know what I am talking about... it scared the s*** out of me... Kai Tak was perhaps child's play in front of it Smile

Mumbai - Indore flight on Alliance Air, back in 2003! Soon after take-off the cockpit door opened by itself and it was closed only after several minutes when the cabin crew were allowed to get up from their seats!

Mumbai - Bangalore flight on Air India 747 First Class, back in 2006! Had been saving money for months to travel in the First Class of 747 and got the 1A seat, ahead of the nose wheel! I was the only passenger in the First Class but had great fun on a short haul flight!

Delhi-Indore on S2-793. Traveling to a new city all alone (back in 2010). It was the first time i visited the massive T3 at Delhi's IGI. Was the most memorable flight ever.

My most memorable flight was in which I took off but did not land. Very Happy

Jumped off from the a/c at 12000 feet, a free fall for 6000 feet and finally the parachute opens at 6000 feet.

I don't remember the aircraft type. The place was Queenstown.

My most memorable flights were the ones where I had (almost) the entire aircraft to myself.

The first one was a BLR-BOM flight on an Air Sahara 737-200, circa 1998. There were only five pax on board. I had one of the cute FAs to myself. Bliss!

The second time was on a KLM MD-11, HYD-AMS, 2005. There were only about 15 pax on board. I thought that the route would soon be terminated, but it ran on for almost four years afterwards.

On that KLM flight, I suspect that even the pilots were having a good time playing games with the airplane. The MD-11 took off blasting away like a rocket, barely using a quarter of Begumpet's runway. I also remember hearing the engines revving up and dying down (at 35000 ft).

My most memorable moments were flying Emirates as a child. Loved the service, the food and best of all, their friendly crews!! I returned home with 3 Emirates kits!!!
