Not too sure whether multiple designation was not there earlier??? If that was the case how come both Indian Airlines and Air Sahara both operated at one point of time on Trivandrum-Male???
DGCA web site is sadly no longer updated with bilateral details! |

Will this really change anything? I mean the market from India has got to be pretty high end (Maldives = expensive) and limited (there's no shopping really). |

In this case, it's probably the reverse flow - since India is the closest place for Maldivians to get higher education or advanced medical treatment, or even tourism (other than beaches)... _________________ We miss you Nalini! |

The economy of Trivandrum will be adversely affected if the TRV-MLE fligjh is disrupted.
However in addition to what Nimish said there is also a steady flow of India originiating traffc on the TRV-MLE route. These are not tourists but support staff like teachers, hotel and resort staff etc. Quite a few Indians work in Maldives in these positions. |
