Two PIA crew members deserted their posts possibly to claim asylum or just disappear in Canada. They will have some difficulty in claiming asylum as they have "good" jobs. And confiscating passports for airline crew is not going to help as asylees typically ditch the passport.

Won't do much for the airline's or the country's reputation.

Maybe peddling groceries in a 7-11 in Missisauga is a better jig than checking for seat belts and serving biryani aboard PIA? Who knows?

I remember an episode of UK Border Force in which they showed a PIA employee getting caught smuggling cigarettes into the UK. The guy couldn't speak a word of English!

PIA seems to have many of 'these types' in their workforce.
