|

I wanted to go to BDQ in India from Denver. Due to 9W suspending operations i cannot get booking under one flight code.
I am getting a LH flight from DEN-DEL. From DEL-BDQ Indigo is one of the options other than Air India.
Was wondering what was the baggage allowance(BA) for Indigo flights in these circumstances. I should have one check in bag of upto 23 kgs and a cabin bag.
Another option being Air India. What is the BA for AI flights ? |

Indigo domestic baggage allowance is 15kg check in and 7kg carry on (meh)
Although, they have an offer. If you are a International passenger inbound/outbound and have a Indigo connection within 24 hrs of your International arriving or departing flight. You can pre-book baggage on their website at much lower rates than you would pay as a domestic only passenger.
They will ask to produce your e- ticket/ boarding pass for your International flight at Indigo check in.
I think it is INR 3000 for extra 30kgs. So your baggage allowance will be 15(with domestic ticket) + 30kg (pre-paid) and 7kg carry on. I think there are other slabs of 5/10/15 kgs etc.
MUST BE PRE-BOOK Atleast 24 hrs in advance. No option to pay these lower rates at check-in.
GoAir has a similar offer too but prices are much lower. I have used this once with GoAir and it was pretty straight forward.
Air India will allow you 25 kg check in and 7-8 kg carry on.
Hope this helps. _________________ Aerosexual...! |

Between Indigo and Air India, AI is the better option as they depart from the same terminal as the international arrival and they have free baggage allowance of up to 25 kgs (no need to show any international boarding pass).
I have used AI on many occasions for domestic connections due to convenience of same terminal (in DEL and BOM) and generous baggage allowance. |
