Sir, I am glad that you have now flown on G8. You can now claim to have flown on all major Indian carriers. And a lovely TR to boot!
I look forward to seeing G8 do well on their International debuts.
The G8 web check-in is reasonably irritating T-24 hours (what I tried a few days back: 15 Sep, G8 275 DEL-PNQ), which does not work for seats selectable for free. I had been in no mood to spend more (my parents were doing the DEL-PNQ route), and I did not like it one bit.
Drinks before flights: he he, rarely do I get time to do this
Interesting: my first G8 flight was also at the `golden hour' ex-DEL, to the exotic city of Nanded (DEL-NAG-NDC in 2010, out of DEL T1A). I remember the golden sunlight filtering in, at sunrise!
The G8 washroom with the cleaned-up old refilled Dettol soap dispenser: ha ha! G8's food has always been quite pathetic, much like Indigo's, and well, we know the reason. Gluttons like me will never understand the reasons, however! The himalayas out of the window are always a treat, and for me, the best I have seen them have been on a DEL-PAT-DEL routing, and a few DEL-GAU trips.
DEL IGIA T2 had been refurbished quite well before it had closed down, and the years of neglect had resulted in quite a bit of work to make the temporary terminal building functional, till T1-D was refurbished, and perhaps a new terminal comes up.
Cheers, Sumantra. |
