Incident: China Southern A333 near Amsterdam on May 14th 2016, bleed air problems
A China Southern Airbus A330-300, registration B-5965 performing flight CZ-346 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to Beijing (China), was climbing through FL320 out of Amsterdam about 40nm north of Hamburg (Germany) when the crew initiated a rapid descent to FL100 due to problems with the bleed air systems and set course back to Amsterdam. The crew worked the related checklists, turned on course to Beijing and climbed the aircraft through FL290 when they again needed to rapidly descend the aircraft to FL150. The aircraft returned to Amsterdam, burned off fuel and landed safely on runway 27 about 3.5 hours after departure.
