THAI W14 India proposed operation changes

During the week of 25AUG14′s OAG Schedules Analyser update, THAI has filed proposed Winter 2014/15 schedule, effective 26OCT14. Note the following changes has been reflected in the OAG, but not in the GDS at time this post goes to press. Therefore following listed changes may not be materialized.

Bangkok – Mumbai
Boeing 777-200ER replaces 747-400, 1 daily (777-300 operates on Day x6 from 01DEC14 to 31DEC14)

Bangkok – Kolkata
Airbus A330-300 replaces Boeing 777-200ER, 1 daily

Bangkok – Bangalore
Airbus A330-300 replaces Boeing 777-200ER, 1 daily

Bangkok – Gaya – Varanasi – Bangkok
Airbus A320 replaces Boeing 737-400

Latest changes in the GDS:
Bangkok – Delhi
eff 26OCT14 Service increases from 12 to 14 weekly. Operational aircraft swap, sees A320 operates during daytime while Boeing 777 operates during night-time

TG315 BKK2040 – 2340DEL 773 D

TG316 DEL0055 – 0620BKK 773 D
TG324 DEL1130 – 1725BKK 320 D

Also increasing frequency on HYD-BKK from 5 times a week to 6 times a week. Aircraft is all economy 320 (no business class).

Currently it is BKK-HYD (Daily except Tues, Thurs) and HYD-BKK (Daily except Wed, Fri)

From Oct 27, BKK-HYD (Daily except Tues) and HYD-BKK (Daily except Wed). It will be operated by Thai Airways, replacing Thai Smile.

Is tourism back to normal in Thailand ? I do not think so. This capacity will only balance the void left by IndiGo on this route, which withdrew 360 seats each way, while Jet added about 150 each way

Also, with people avoiding Malaysian, Thai could be the next best option in terms of cost - but I dont know much

Ameya, 9W hasn't added anything, the existing flight will be retimed and extended to SGN.
