folks!
There has been a general discussion, often behind the scenes about posts not mentioning the source of information or photo.
After extensive discussion, the Moderation team has decided that as long as the poster is not claiming the photo is his/hers, then not naming a specific source should be ok. Sometimes we just find stuff on the web and we have no idea who the true source is so we should be able to put that it was "found on the web", "not my photo" or "from a source". At least then the original source is credited even though they may be nameless.
The reason we say this is that if we put up these barriers on posting, then everybody loses because we miss out on the content. We shouldn't have to make users jump through hoops but at the same time not violate someone's IP, so it should be something simple.
Comments and suggestions welcome.

Naming the source is important. For one, some sources in the internet are notorious for its inaccuracy and lack of crediblity. So in such a case even if the original poster who quotes the same may not be aware of it (the notoriety),others who are aware of it will be spared a lot of trouble trying to read through the stuff!!! |
