British airline Virgin Atlantic will connect Bengaluru to London with daily direct flights from March 31, 2024 and ticket sales for it is all set to commence from June 14. The daily flights from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to London's Heathrow will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft of the carrier and will feature 31 first class, 35 business class and 192 economy class seats.

AI had a opportunity to continue to serve this route, but instead they chose to add flights to DEL and BOM. This is a good add for Virgin, but BLR is getting very competitive for Europe and US connection flights, if that is the main intention of Virgin. There could be nice bargains on the various European carriers.
