Aren't there several daily scheduled flights between India and Iran? |

Why is this news, as implied by the topic title?
Iranian aircraft takeoff, land and refuel in India nearly every day, as they have been doing nearly uninterrupted for decades. _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

What this article is trying to say is that flights between Iran and cities like Bangkok and Singapore are being forced to make unscheduled refueling stops in India to buy fuel that is otherwise being denied to them by the authorities in BKK and SIN (as a way to further ostracize Iran).
Iran's citizens are paying a mighty price for the megalomania and fascism of its leaders. |

Iranian citizens are paying the price for the high-handedness of the West, which continue to perpetuate the "My way or Highway" policy.
These same countries courted Gaddafi for his oil and now ousted his regime. They should look at their own collapsing economies before trying to meddle with the affairs of others.
The UN is a eunnuch of an organization, which has consistently failed its purpose by blindly siding with the Western powers for decades.
This whole business about nuclear hegemony is so troublesome.
The US invented a monster of a technology ,utilized it (exclusively) for wartime purposes, and now prevents other countries from arming themselves for the fear of proliferation ? It should hang its head in shame. |

The article, yes. The headline, not so much!
And those Ayotollahs certainly need to be brought down toute de suite (even if the point Iran is trying to make is not entirely invalid)! _________________ four years free of jetya punti! |

Here is the complete story.
Iran being one of the major crude oil producer and exporter to India for long time, the uneasy situation should have heen avoided. But again, Mahan Air is a private entity and Indian Oil was just going by the book... _________________ Tally Sheet:

Since no Iran carrier serves CCU the title was valid, but has been changed to avoid confusion. |

+1. Couldn't agree more.
Since the US sanctions on Iran late last year, Iran has been promptly supplying petroleum to India, at times contributing between 12%-30% of India's monthly import. The RBI has been finding it extremely difficult to facilitate payment for this since the central banks in EU & the Gulf states banned transactions with Iran.
Despite the irregular payments, the Iranian supply has never been restricted. IMO, the Indian authorities should facilitate such requests with priority, as a sign of 'mutual respect'. _________________ The more I fly 9W, the more I prefer AI | FlightDiary: 59 Boeing + 30 Airbus + 9 ATR + 1 Embraer |
