What happened to the glider the plane was towing?

Anyway, the DHL crash was tragic. The poor controller was murdered after that if I am not mistaken.
The tcas told the Russian crew to climb- the controller told him to descend. We all know now he should have disregarded the controller’s instructions and climbed.
It’s so easy to point out the crews mistakes now but things must have been different back then. Sadly it costs human lives for us to learn these important lessons.
The animation of the collision is really scary though

Im sure the cable of the towing plane snapped from the Attachment lug shear joint.

About the TCAS v/s ATC Instructions.Currently it has been decided that Priotity given to TCAS.Although reccommended that crew look for visual signs too.

From what I have been taught, you look for visual when you get the TA, but if you get an RA you do it immediately.

Thats correct. With RA you need to look at the Instruments for Avoidance Instructions.
