1. Parameters such as altitude, heading, airspeed etc. are stored in a Flight Data Recorder with respect to the time. Later the data are translated into a human recognizable format. Data stored in a CVR are usually audio signals. The radio transmission between the Air traffic control and aero plane, sounds occurred in cockpit such as voices of pilot, the conversation between flight crews inside cockpit, engine noises, land gears extension and retractions and other sounds are stored in CVR. A 'cockpit area microphone' is used to record these sounds.

Currently the Solid state units are in use in majority of aircraft.
SSCVRs & SSFDRs are common. _________________ Think of the Brighter side !!! |
