Mine is the - Sony T200 purchased last month:

5X Optical Zoom
8 Mega Pixel
Smile Shutter (Takes Photo automatically when people smile), unbelivable but true....
Really like the touch screen menu, no more fumbling with multiple buttons

Run a tech company that makes Power Over Ethernet equipment. Smile

Photography has been in passion list for a long time. Graduation gift was a Canon A-1. I guess the spotting bug re-kindled my passion.

Thank god my better half controls my spending. Oherwise the 600, and 400 would also be in the list Smile while I would probably be out on the street. Very Happy

Adding more batteries. Typically a grip will allow 2 batteries instead of one in the camera. Also in the film models the motor assembly in most battery grips allow for faster FPS. Also many grips will have optional shutter release buttons which allow for better vertical firing. I think some grips also allow for additional memory cards, but am not sure.

The Panasonic is an HD camcorder for me for concerts etc.
It can zoom while recording and has AVCHD format and of course it can take pictures and is 25mm wide.
