ok... I guess sector 28 is located in Bamnoli village.
From NH-8, take the Dwarka link road and go straight after crossing the underpass. Take the left turn at the first crossing (the right turn here will lead you to sector 22/23). This is just before the cemented stretch of road starts. After turning left, the road goes straight to Bamnoli village/ Sec 28.
(as told by staff of Sriram Institute of Marine Studies, Sect.28 Dwarka)
Will check it out as soon as I find some spare time |

Thanks to Mayank (Delapproach), I was able to check it out today. It is located in Sector 8, Dwarka.
This poor little thing ... is currently being used by an 'on-site' aviation training institute for providing simulated training to cabin-crew aspirants. Interestingly... they also offer an AME course there!!!

Sadly, aviation training including AME training is pure business man in todays times. _________________ India is one of the richest countries in the world.

Unfortunately, this was the only angle we could manage. The other view (as in the OP) was backlit at the time.
The premises was also closed due to the weekend. Whatever little conversation we had with the staff present, was through a small bird-hole in the iron door. |

I think a good paint job would do wonders.
About AME training.....Pity the students don't realise which Institutes are good in teaching wise until its too late. The difference is noticable in the students knowledge levels when they appear for Interviews thereafter. _________________ Think of the Brighter side !!! |

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but a prominent Delhi spotter posted this:
which I am reproducing here, in total disregard with regard to to his/her permission before posting it.
This was spotted close to the Alipur border, and a long discussion ensued among some Delhi spotters, on what the identity of this bird could be, and who could have bought this. This was an A310 tubby, painted into the new colours in passenger configuration, which was possibly retired from DEL itself. Could it be `Beas', VT-EJJ - the bird that had the NLG incident at DEL in 2007, but was repaired, and served AI much after that, in the new colours? Delhi spotters reported this to be the handiwork of the same person who bought the tail-less retired IC A320 and turned it into a Sai Baba Museum. `Tail-less A320, and tale-less A310'
A Delhi spotter also posted a link to the story for the former:
http://www.hindustantimes.com/photos-news/Photos-India/Planeondelhiroad/Article4.aspx
AI at one time, had 19 of these, right? NINETEEN! It was even there on the Airbus website, then. 9 of them were leased birds from SQ. A Delhi spotter gave us the following list:
9V-STA - VT-AIA
9V-STC - VT-AIB
9V-STD - VT-AIN
9V-STE - VT-AIO
9V-STF - VT-AIP
9V-STS - VT-EVE
9V-STU - VT-EVF
9V-STY - VT-EVU
9V-STW - VT-EVY
Does someone have any information about the identity of this bird?
Cheers, Sumantra. |

The mystery clears up, thanks to a prominent Delhi spotter, again.
This is VT-EJK, `Gomati' (or was it `Gomti'?). As usual, I am posting the pictures without bothering about basic decencies like asking him for permission for the same - but yes, all right rest with the photographer.
Cheers, Sumantra. |
