Mel, thats my project in the new year - I'm waiting for 3 Air India Connie models (coming in this week to join the fleet), so that I have every single Air India 1:400 scale model ever produced then (making it about 45 models in all). I intend to line them up for a pic right after that. Keep an eye out. Smile

Yeah, the Dragon Wings 777-200LR VT-ALB is wrongly marked "Kalyani", but should be "Arunachal Pradesh", not "Andhra" (which is ALA).

There are several scales, so I'll try & get a composite pic of all the 45 odd models, & then get pics of them grouped by scales.

This thread is somewhat specific to Air India but you are welcome to create a thread for other airline models.

Actually I think there is one...let me look...

Recently a Western Models Air India L1049G in scale 1:200 was on the auction block on ebay.

The winner got it for 113 GBP. A steal, I must say considering it is a sample and a prototype.

Check it out at the following URL as long as it is there

Mel, just an update to let you know that I haven't forgotten about the pic. I'm expecting a couple more models to join the fleet soon ( a rare 747 & a hopefully, hard to find 767 ) so I'm holding off on that to get a group photo for you.

The Schabak 747-400 (First Version, "1990s" Colors. With Silver Wings. Mould Type IV.) in 1:600. I know you hate that scale, Sammy, but you know me : ---- Wink

The "First Version" should complete this trio of Schabak 744s.

The 767 is in 1:500 (and I know you're not much of a fan of those either), the Sky500 CS-TLQ EuroAtlantic Hybrid colors, pair of the FlyGlobespan Hybrid G-CEFG:

It's not that I hate the scale, just doesn't have enough detail for me.

Anyways, since it seemed you were talking 1:400 I thought I missed out on some 747.

No new Air India model releases for a while now; and all the 1:400s ever released are in the fleet, as above.

Rumor is that there are some VT- models in the upcoming AeroClassics January releases. Likely to be 707s...

Awesome!! Finally a -300 in 1:400. Interestingly enough. it's "Annapurna / Annapoorna" again! That would make it 1:500, 1:200 & 1:400 for VT-DVA. Have to get this - another one of the AI classics my old man flew !!

Sammy, any idea how AC has her name spelt (Annapurna v/s Annapoorna) ?
Where are you getting yours from - Collectablejets was a major let down last time around, so I was thinking about Kam this time.

Here's another pic:

Not sure how it'll be spelled this time. Haven't seen any pictures with the name.

I ordered mine from Adamjets. Luis is typically reliable. I've had no issues with Kam.

I hear you on Collectable Jets. I haven't had a major problem with Drew yet but he is very slow and delivering and I'm guessing at some point I'm gonna get screwed.

It's a shame that AeroClassics screwed up the model. Should not have had the red pylons or should have had the older titles.

Here is the latest addition to my collection.

Hogan Air India Boeing 747-400 VT-EVB "Velha Goa" 1:200 scale

Not being a big fan of snap-fit and non die-cast models, I've not yet put it together & it's still sealed in it's box; but had to get this as it's apparently quite rare.
Should look something like this if & when I decide to keep it & put it together.
