MUMBAI: Nearly 244 passengers had a miraculous escape when two aircraft came face to face on the taxi way at Chhatrapati Shivaji International
Airport late Thursday night, an airport official said.

A kingfisher airlines aircraft with 117 people on board was about to take off when an Air India Nagpur-Mumbai flight with 127 passengers landed and was speeding on the same runway.

However, since the distance between the two aircraft was considerable, both managed to stop and a potential disaster was averted.

No further details of the incident were immediately available.

I don't think a journalism degree is needed for a job as an aviation journalist/expert at any of the major news channels. Some of those folks don't look bright enough to have studied much beyond kindergarten Wink

I tried long back with a not so popular newspaper.. They needed 2 yrs exprience in journalism or a degree/diploma/jack$hit in Journalism Laughing

Basically they are not interested in taking people from the industry to write abt it..

All they need to do is get someone with some basics of aviation & pay the person well....No need of any degree.

Or maybe there was a technical snag in one of the Equipment Landing Systems on board as per a celebrity on board one of the Airbus 780s involved in the near miss who had an unbelievable escape!
