|
|
Hi,
I am scheduled to fly on the ATR of 9W (for the first time) early August. I am flying from HYD-CJB (en-route MAA). This is planned on-purpose so that i can enjoy two legs of the same type of a/c.
I would like to know a few things about this aircraft.
1. Which is the best seat to occupy in this little flight? I would like to have ample leg room as well as a good view of the engine propeller (as its above the a/c body)
2. Are the bulkhead seats comfortable in the 9W ATR? Do you recommend sitting in this seat?
Requesting you to help me out with these info so that I can web-check in early before my flight and book the seats
THanks in advance! _________________ Regards,

Hi sriramhariiyer,
1) For a good view of the propellers, window seats in rows 4 & 5 would be good. One point to note though - these seats will also be the noisiest.
2) Bulkhead seats are comfortable, but don't expect too much legroom. Space is at a premium in the ATR aircraft.
3) For quick entry/exit the last rows of the aircraft are best.
Have a look at these cabin photos of the 9W ATRs to give you a better idea. These were clicked on the BLR-MAA sector.

Hi guys,
Finally I made it! On Spice Jet and 9W Konnect.
As you said, the load on my SG from CJB-HYD was just a meagre 40%. It was the flight proceeding towards DEL from HYD. So outta 40%, almost 30% of them disembarked at HYD. It was a poor sight to spot the remaining at HYD. (Hope some more of them boarded from HYD on the HYD-DEL sector).
But its not the same case on the 9W Konnect. I got my tickets at 2129/- from HYD-MAA and MAA-CJB. It was an ATR 72-500 flight (on both the legs). And the loads were:
HYD-MAA - 100%
MAA-CJB - 99% (Just 3 seats were empty).
It is amazing to note this! Also the food inside was decent good (from Sky Gourmet). So had a nice flight!
Request you to help me out on the information as to where I can post my trip images. Here or under the Trip Reports section? It consists of pictures taken at HYD airport and MAA airport, and some in-flight pics as well
