Hello everyone and Thanks to Nimish for the welcome.
I am based in the US, regularly travelling on the transatlantic route and then to Kolkata. For my work, I have to travel to Delhi as well.
I have an strong interest in Aviation since forever and like to travel to exotic places and locales. My other interests include martial arts and archaeology.
I grew up in Bangalore, and I am so happy to see that city grow like it has. Remember the time in the 80s when the HAL ariport was a sleepy little place and a domestic flight arrival or departure would be a major event. You would even get a place to park at the curb-side at the airport.
And look at BLR now. So many international flights and domestic ones too.

I'm a long time viewer of the forums. My name is Pete and I'm from Seattle, WA (was born in Mumbai). I'm currently the Manager of Finance for Alaska Airlines. I'm a big time fan of the Airlines in India, especially Air India and Jet.
I've had an extremely strong interest in Aviation since I was a kid. I've worked for Frontier Airlines and Northwest Airlines as well.
I love to keep up to date on route planning and network changes.
If anyone would like any insider knowledge and a behind the scenes view of how airlines work, don't hesistate to ask.
It's good to be here and look forward to getting to know all of you guys!

Hi im d3vski,
I work at London Heathrow Terminal 3 and im an aviation junkie.
I am born and bred in the UK but have an extreme loyalty to India and the UK even if there is no justification. I will always blindly defend India and the UK.
I am a big fan of aviation and i am lucky enough to be getting married to a Kingfisher Airlines flight attendent in Jan 2010. I hear on a daily basis from my other half about how crap Kingfisher Airlines are and how rubbish they treat their staff!
I hope i can contribute to this forum but i must warn you that my replies will be biased towards indian carriers and will generally have a pro India stance!
A small request. Let us not turn this forum into an employer grouse board! If your fiancee is indeed working for the airline in question, dont you think it is in rather poor taste that you rubbish her employer while she continues to work for them.
In these troubled times everywhere whether in Aviation or elsewhere and whether in US or UK or India, dont you think that it is in order that we do respect the difficult times everyone is facing these days to some degree or the other and thus post in these forums in a more mature way???
Hello Everyone! This is Avinash from Bangalore, lived in Punjab for a very long time! Well, when all my friends were busy trying to fall in love with girls, I fell in love with Aviation! And I love the Boeing 777 aircraft more than anything!
Thank You Nimish! _________________ Only a Runway Can Take Me To a Place Where I Belong!!!

Hello everyone. I'm Hasan from India (currently in Kuwait). I'll be leaving for a BS in Aerospace Engineering at GeorgiaTech in a couple of days. Since I'm interested in aviation, thought I'd join it. Thanks to SpiderGuy252 for help and info!

Hi AOG - welcome on board - good to have another person from the industry!
Hi Manish - welcome on board - what motivated the "lurker" in you to actually join up? I'm curious to know so we can do something like that to get the other "lurkers" to join up as well . Are you a student in Mumbai? _________________ We miss you Nalini!

Well the layout is pretty nice & simple + there is no attrocius advertising everywhere & then there are times when you see something being discussed & you have an opinion but feel deprived at not being able to express it since you arent registered so.........
