My first couple of pics on Anet (AI B747-400) were clicked using the old camera - a Nikon Coolpix 3200.

The rest of the pics have been clicked using the new one - a Canon Powershot S2 IS.

If im not wrong, these planes are all on final approach to 9-27

These photos must from Dharavi.

Unless these planes are landing on the other runway, I can take such photos of aircraft on takeoff and final approach from my school in BKC.

Nice shot, the quality is great. You can see how much the Canon(S2IS) is better and easier than using the nikon. I've shot with it and the results are very close to a dslr and am sure now nothing will stop you from getting shots accepted on to anet.

Nikon has one of the best slrs, dslrs and film P&S. But their digital P&S cameras simply suck. Laughing

couldnt agree with u more... my ratings go like this... canon all the way.. but in this order:

1. a Canon DSLR with an L Series lens
2. The older Canon Powershot Pro1 (inbuilt L series lens)
3. Canon S3IS
4. Canon S2IS.

nothing can beat the above!

Nikon has lately improved their DSLR's, D80 has very good reviews. The L series lens does provide an edge, but the ED lenses are not bad either.

Did you buy a DSLR? The D70s was being sold for real cheap prices which I would say fares above the canon entry levels. That was a real good chance, it costed the same as a D50, which I couldn't belive.

no man just this lens. Leaving DSLR for the summers as no point in wasting money in winters. These things keep getting cheaper anyhow. Regarding the prices, which place are you talking about?

Just haven't met for long and I feel I might be able to take out time, so suggested spotting.

I dont agree with you... the D70 does not really fare up with the canon entry levels... i have tried and say this from experience.. infact at the moment i have the Canon 400D and the Nikon D200 and previously my brother had the D70. I prefered the 400D to the D70.. even the 350D was nicer... i like the D200 alot though... its very professional and takes alot of getting used to.!

Truth is... Both Nikon and Canon are great! its just what you prefer!

D70 has additional features, metering, sturdy body, it is true that the canon's (300D,350D,400D) CMOS sensor is superior to the CCD sensor of D70.

Now you are starting A vs B over here Wink ...buy either C or N, and none other. If you decide upon N, then you can ask for further details. Santhosh and Nitin will be able to tell you about C.
