How Effective is the Airline-Employee Bond.If its broken by the Employee What are the legal chances of the Airline winning.
Most Pilots I know have got away with no legal issues.

A bond literally is a contract.. which is binding on anyone who agrees to it. And normally, once you accept traning from an airline, you accept that contract... so its not very easy to get out of.

The Reason I asked is cause I know quite a few Pilots that have got off with a bond in place.

Well i dont knwo the details so i really cant comment, what they normally can do is buy themselves out of the bond. Atleast thats how it works in singapore and im sure its not much different here. You sign the bond which has a stipulation that you work with the airlines for X number of years and they subtract the traning amount in installments over that period from your salary or at any point the person can pay the full amount (with interest i am supposing) and get out.

Not sur ehow it exactly works here.. but again.. im sure its not very different.

Why would HR not do that.
Only with Mgmt of Airlines[past & present of Employee] both agreeing. Its tough implementing it.
Although DGCA 6 month notice period is a different issue.
