Jet Airways will make a stopover in Brussels for its flights between Mumbai and New York from August this year.
At present, travellers to India from Belgium have to take connecting flights from other cities like Paris, Frankfurt or Amsterdam.
Next to the Mumbai-Brussels-New York link, Jet Airways also intends to have a stopover at Brussels for the New Delhi-Toronto flight before the end of this year, sources in Jet have said to NDTV Profit.

Nice. This will be the first flight of 9W to the US, isn't it? Which a/c are likely to be used? A330/340 Question Question

I hope they time both the BOM-BRU-NYC and the DEL-BRU-YYZ flights so passengers can change over at BRU. Would be a great way for 9W to compete with the likes of LH/BA in their backyard Smile

AFAIK, it was supposed to be
DEL - DUS - YYZ
DEL - HKG - YYZ

but now it seems to have changed to DEL - BRU - YYZ

Now as someone said they should time their flights in such a way thatpax from BOM and DEL can interchange at BRU, because otherwise I don't see why both flights need to go via BRU. Surely not that much demand for India - BRU sectors.

Lets see what sort of seats they come up with on their on 77W which I think they will be using.

Good news nevertheless.
Cheers

hmmm very interesting... 9W going DEL - BRU - YYZ in august and coincidentally EY stops their AUH - BRU - YYZ service in august as well making direct terminating stops at both YYZ , BRU...

Does anyone know how the BRU - YYZ loads are ? probably 9W may have a chance to monopolize this route .

considering there is no other SEVA on this route .. maybe 9W can have the whole MEWA and give some pieces to SN as well

I guess all the diamond merchants in India r gonna hv a convenient option to Belgium now!! Wink I have noticed that on the OS flights from VIE to DEL and BOM, majority of the passengers are businessmen/traders from India , connecting from Switzerland and Belgium.. if 9W fares are competitive I am sure this crowd wud prefer 9W.

The USA flights will be operated using B777-300ER and A330-200. They receive about 2 B773ER and close to 3 A332 before August.

The B7773ER should be out of the plant i a couple of weeks time. I guess they will change the livery coz they had hired Landor to do the work. The initial flights of the B773ER would be BOM-LHR is guess.

Is it really DEL-BRU-YYZ? If it is and I hope their thinking in your lines. it would be good for BOM-YYZ and DEL-NYC pax.

cn no 620 is Air Canada and its already out of the plant. Air India's B772LR is next (VT-ALB). That will be out next week. Jet Airways B773ER is cn 627 (VT-JEA) that will take a further couple of weeks probably second week of march. they will be the first operator in india. They get it before Air India. Delivery should be sometime in April so i assume they will do BOM-LHR or BOM-SIN or introduce BOM-HKG as mentioned in earlier posts. They will start USA flights only after they receive two B773ER . The second B773ER is 637 around april end may...

Regarding the Landor Branding Exercise....

Also they had hired M&C Saatchi to do their international Advertising so i would assume this is to coincide with the introduction of flights to USA..
