Abrelosojos is an old Airliners enemy of mine, as he was an Air-India apologist of the highest order, and I was...well, you know.
Anyway, two points about his travel.
Colombo's airport looks magnificent, despite the city's (and nation's) civil war for the last three decades. Modern, efficient.
I do agree with his opinion that MAA is India's worst airport. It is despicable that MAA lacks even the most basic modern convenieces. Everytime I go there it is an abomination and should be an embarassment for Tamils everywhere, as well as a disgrace to the Tamil Nadu government. _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. Are not airports in India, MAA including, run by the Airport Authorities of India, a federal body and not a state entity?
(If it were really run by the state, bet you would have not airport signs in Hindi or departure announcements in Hindi to a flight departing to, for example, Madurai )
That guy's trip reports almost always sound very melodramatic... |

I was slightly impressed by MAA international terminal. I guess my expectations were really low.
CMB is great. Considering its low traffic it’s large, airy, well laid our etc, _________________ eP007 |
