Hi,
I was just looking and have noticed that there are around 2400 registered members on AI.net. But the real question is How many are active members? By active i mean members that have minimum 50 posts to their credit? I think only a handful.
Cheers

I mean active members who are not merely stastics. Majority of the members here haven't posted a single post or have posted less than 10 posts. So there are hardly 10% of the total members that are active.

You defined active as those with 50 posts or more. The member list will tell you who those members are. |

Well if you want to know of the top active members, the person is here, sammyk. Out of the very few constant active members he is the one. |

I guess there are quite a few that browse the forum & don't post.
Where as the number of regular posters are quite a few.
But then hopefully we will have lot more discussions in future.

"Active" members should be measured not by the number of posts, but by number of visits, as some members simply like to read.
I used to be pretty inactive, btw, and I only started posting regularly recently. _________________ http://openflights.org/user/akumanduri |

IMHO! It would be an exercise in futility to measure the most active or valuable member. It is so subjective and end result is nothing. Best is to keep your favourites to yourself, as they do change with time.....my personal two cents. _________________ [url=http://openflights.org/user/aseemsjohri]

Active & valuable member is not important. The data & discussion posted is.
Thats one of the reasons why the member ranking per posts was removed.Wish Anet does the same to the RR ratings

Exactly. Message boards should never be a popularity contest. |

I nominate myself for the grumpiest member.
I nominate myself for the member with the most tart tongue.
I nominate myself for the member the mods most get nervous everytime I post.
I doubt that, despite it all, that I am the most banned member or member subjected to the most punishment. That would be some other "rustbucket"! _________________ "A communist is someone who reads Marx. An anti-communist is someone who understands Marx." Ronald Reagan

You are overrating yourself. You have been banned just once for a week. There are members who have faced bans for 2 months |

Grumpiest - no, not at all
Tart tongue - no the gift of tartness is well endowed on other individuals as well
Nervous - nope - not at all - far from it in fact. We wait eagerly for your posts .
Most banned - nope - not at all.
