Maybe a weird kinda question, but I always see zero helicopter activity during the rains in BOM from my terrace. During the rest of the year there are atleast 2 helis flying into/from VABB.

Is this because of the unfavorable weather like low-thunderstorm-clouds? Does chopper activity grind to a halt during the rains? Or just no heli's flying over me?

Shocked

Well ive never heard something like this before but AFAIK they fly in monsoons as well. Maybe something related to visibility, as they fly using visual refernce. Hence most of them dont fly during the night time.

No such thing.
Visibility permitting is the question only.
There are choppers flying sorties to the Rigs & back daily.

Yup even NDTV had hired a Pawan Hans chopper. But that's the only thing I remember.

I don't want to make another thread, hence one more q';
How frequently are a/c tires changed?
After how many landings? Or depending on the wear and tear?

Depends on Type of aircraft,servicing [nitrogen pressure],airfield type,operating procedures.

there is no fixed duration,But Wheel assemblies will be replaced when the tires wear down to their limits.
