There was an Article stating that QuickJet was commencing Cargo Operations soon with BLR as Main base using B733 & B752 Freighters.
Anyone having data on this project or link to the company.

I heard they are struggling to procure B752SFs,Thanks to the Demand & FeDex grabbing 90+.
They might settle for B733SF in the interm period though.
Dec 2008 seems far off.Any shedule published yet.

Have they procured the B757s.
If they are to start ops in 2008 end. They need the Aircraft procured & freighter converted by then.
Cargo conversition takes 2-3 months.

they are scouting for b737-300 and b757-200 .. with UPS tie up they may be looking for leaseing two B757-200PF from UPS (ups has 70+ of them ) to start operation in early 2008 .. otherwise they have no option to start operation with B757 as there are none in market with good value ....

Currently the availability of B752s at a economical rate is a problem.
Anyone aware of where they are going to get their loads from to fill their Aircraft.

Spotted the Quikjet 737-300F parked at a remote bay at MAA. It was parked on the side of the runway opposite to the terminal. A 9W A330 was also parked nearby.

QuickJet first aircraft almost landed 25 days back at MAA. Their maintenance partner Bharat Aviation is struggling to get base approval .. With no equipment and spare in place it is very diffcult to get BASE approval from DGCA .. this is strange as Aircraft deal was done 6 months back and still no prepartaion .. Y day DGCA has done audit for base approval and decision still awaited ..
This is again case of typical start up with POOR MANAGEMENT .. imagin paying lease chargs for last 4 months for aircraft without flying ( 3 months it was parked in USA for Avionics update ) ...
Second aircraft is planned in end July , third inDec 08 and fourth in Jan 2009 ..
Let see progress on same ..

Most operators don't realise there is a lot to running an Airline apart from just getting an Aircraft.
The regulations are quite in detail & needs to be satisfied.

I feel they should have planned for this earlier.Option is to get the Mx done by a B733 operator in the time being. While they set up their base.

The B733F are going back.Possibly to be replaced by B757F or B767F.

heard that bharat aviation has the original docs & won't part with it until the payements are settled.9W is offering to do the required checks to ensure airworthiness before returning the aircraft back to the leasor, but need the original docs to check status.

Looks like another legal battle ahead.

Farnair proposes to increase stake in India's Quikjet

25FEB2013

Farnair Switzerland has asked the Indian government for approval to increase its minority stake in cargo carrier Quikjet in which it currently holds a 36.2% stake. It already is the largest shareholder in Quikjet but wants to further increase its stake. Foreign investors are now allowed to own up to 74% in Indian cargo carriers.

Quikjet currently operates ATR 72-200(F) VT-FQA (c/n 313) on dry lease from Farnair Switzerland.
