I checked out on the SQ website regarding the equipment used to DEL and it said B777-300. But today, at dot 11 AM, I saw a SQ B747 Megatop over Saket approaching DEL.
I can't understand how come Megatop is in Delhi?

Possible reasons:
    Arrow Maybe 777s not available.
Arrow Both eqp available but some corporate bookings by some company. So SQ might have agreed to arrange the 747 for the day

That must've been SIA Cargo on approach to DEL.SIA Cargo brings a 744 to DEL.What you saw might not be Mega Top but Mega Ark which is painted on their cargo 744 fleet.
SQ 408 was operated by a 773 and arrived on time last evening.

Mega Ark for sure.

I remember those days when SQ flew their 743's to DEL. I flew on them alot in the 90's. as we frequented singapore atleast 3 times a year because my brother lived there for ages.

I always used to be mightily excited to fly the BIG TOP and would drive my dad mad asking him questions about aviation throughout the flight. Sometimes i wonder if he was the real aviation enthusiast Smile

Just a point here, did you see the MegaTop or the Mega Ark? They're both fundamentally different. I'm flying once a week SIN-DEL-AMS as 7990 on the Ark, we come in around 4pm. In DEL today, and figured out we can't take off tomorrow again, saw a NOTAM that there is no-fly enforced from 1700-1800 over Delhi(29th). Freighters is a lot more fun. Now i know why HAWK21 is where he is Smile

PS: My last post in here, someone from here reported an earlier post i had to flight safety in my previous organization and I almost lost my job. Whoever did it, i hope you had your fun.

Hi Boeing7xx - really sorry to hear that happened, and I hope that we (as a team on this forum) refrain from ruining someone's job!

Its very Important to post data after you filter the details. As aworking member in Aviation. Its advisable to do so.

Refrain from certain details in your posts which can be held against you.

Sad case if someone complained. It could happen again to others.
