In response to a question on air safety at Air Deccan, Warwick Brady's very patronising response was that the person in charge of flight safety was a German. As though that one factor alone is responsible.

In addition, he confirmed that Air Deccan would go international with an LCC model by September'07.

Overall body language Mr. Brady gets across is very customer unfriendly. We are not passengers, we are freight on feet, and we better know that is what I receive loud and clear.

What a j__k.

I think that coincides with the actions on the ground as far as DN goes. I still can't get why they went back to free seating on their 320s, it's mayhem boarding each flight now.

Bt then why point a finger at DN when it is we as people who need to learn as to hw to be more civilised and hw to be more sober in public...

C,mon we all knw its more of a discipline related issue. And i guess half of the fight is abt the window seat because most of them are first time fliers.

Then why not have a seat booking system?

Vabby - it's not really a discipline related issue, it's a demand and supply issue. Everyone wants the window seat or the exit row seat (not just first time fliers). If you're standing around and waiting - there's no chance you'll get one, or get a row for yourself and family. And that's why airlines all over the world have assigned seating. It's also important so children/ infants/ elderly don't sit on the exit row - it's a safety issue.
