Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share some good news with you guys.
I now (almost) have a job with Kingfisher Airlines as a First Office on the A320. I say almost because I haven’t yet signed the contract but that is the last remaining formality. My training will be in Miami and my slot is Jan 19th 2008, so in about a month I will start my type rating. This is of course a very exciting time for me and a long awaited dream come true.
I don’t have my Indian CPL yet, so my contract will be for 2 years and I have that much time to convert my licence if I want my contract extended. Obviously I would love to do the DGCA exam now and get it out of the way but sadly some things are not in my control (I didn’t get a computer number so I can’t do the exam in January as planned). Once I start working it’s not going to be easy to get time off and study/run around babus offices in Delhi etc.
Anyway, im absolutely thrilled with the Airbus and Kingfisher Airlines was my absolute top choice. It was IT or 9W for me, didn’t want a low cost or AI/IC. Training will be for around 2 months, and then I come back and do more training until I finally start flying as a full blown FO!
I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Nimish. Ill be in Bangalore for a while in Jan, don’t have my dates yet but ill miss the spotting session because it’s usually end of the month right?
