Kingfishers have a close shave at Vizag
VISAKHAPATNAM: In a major slip-up, two aircraft of Kingfisher Airlines hit each other in the Visakhapatnam airport on Tuesday afternoon. Though nobody was injured, both the planes had to be grounded.
"The Hyderabad-bound Kingfisher aircraft was entering the parking bay to allow passengers to board when the Chennai-bound plane of the same airline fully loaded with passengers taxied out of the parking bay for take-off," Visakhapatnam airport controller C Pattabhi told TOI. Both the aircraft are ATR-500. _________________ My Flickr photos

The Indian media is very good at making things sound really dramatic. I am sure the situation wasn't as dire as made out.
Also I wonder how he/she came up with ATR-500. Good imagination. hehe

Sounds like this will have an impact on their ATR operations, with probably both ATRs being grounded for a little while. I know they use the ATRs for BLR-IXE etc, does any one know specifics of which routes are impacted/canceled? |

I am quite sure they might manage with some heavy delays or maybe sending passengers in 9W and other carriers.
If they cancel flights then they know it would make it to the media and its undesirable
