Gentlemen , my first ever TR , so had to emulate few styles of other TR's.

My scheduled itinerary


SQ 423 BOM - SIN 22 Oct 0030 0825 B777-300

SQ 028 SIN - TPE 22 Oct 1705 2145 B777-300ER
TPE - LAX 22 Oct 2255 1915 B777-300ER

SQ 037 LAX - SIN 10 Nov 2000 0620 (+2) A340-500

but turned out to be

checked - in , got my boarding pass, access to the lounge , immigration was breeze , spent some time in the
lounge and were called for boarding 2350 hrs. Priority boarding for F , J and for passengers with special needs.
We were greeted by a lovely FA , and was escorted to the seats. Plane very very neat , tidy . Welcome drinks
served after a round of hot towels, and also got the amenity kits. asked our dinner choice and dessert choice and
handed over the wine list. By this time plane was ready for push back. Flight was full , no seats empty. At 0038
hrs we were ready for take off and were airborne in no time. Flight had their KRIS world IFE ,AVOD. Drinks
came along , had some smirnoff green apple along with 7up. Drinks came along generously. After this a 4 course
meal was served with and i opted for the Indian non veg option. Food was delicious , and had some ice cream for
dessert. After stuffing myself , went to sleep and woke up at 0740 hrs Singapore time. A mini snack and juices
came along. After this we cleared up and landed calmly at 0805 hrs at changi airport.

My connecting flight was after 8 hrs so I thought lets catch up with my friend in Singapore.

The kris lounge is just amazing , quite serene environment, liked it.

Flight time: 4 hrs 40 mins
STD : 1705 hrs ATD: 1700hrs

boarding started with F , J pax , man the aircraft was so good it was lovely , the interiors were good . FA's were
ok . this was probably the most mediocre part of the flight , as in it was good but rating the best segment among
my 6 sectors this would come last. Food was mediocre , FA's not up to standards but not upto SQ standards.
Standard J services , but food was not that good. but i was more interested in the interiors of the aircraft and
the kits , it was awesome.

Had a silly Singaporean desi sitting across me, who actually asked me for a coffee at 35,000 feet. I was like
wow someone asking me ... in the sky lovely. but his desi person turned out to be a pain. thankfully he was
upgraded to F in the following sector.

Ok getting back , after around 4 hr 15 mins of flying we started our descend in TPE and landed at 2130 hrs local
time. TPE airport was filled with EVA planes. the airport was Dull and lifeless IMO. Went to * alliance lounge and
relaxed for a while just then we were called for boarding 2230 hrs local time.

The best part. a lovely trans pacific flight , good flight , good crew , good co passengers (Wink). Welcome drinks
were served , menu cards , wine list. We pushed back at 2255 hrs and within 15 mins we were airborne. I had
my share of drinks (LOL) . and after having a fine meal , i was asleep and slept for nearly 5 hrs. Had another
5 hrs to go before we arrived in LAX. Drinks were flowing like rivers. 3 hrs still to go and another full round of
meals came. I must say the Fish was very very good. IFE was excellent with a good collection of movies, many
of which i had seen though. The FA's were superlative , so alert and were always smiling.
All requests were attended to , quickly and promptly. it was 1745 hrs local time and we started our descend.
We landed smoothly and docked to our allocated gate.

Went through the usual formalities luggage came quickly , and and had my cousins there to take me home.


After my stay, and the way SQ messed up things I was pretty tensed about my journey. Dad came to drop me,
along with naani and my mom. reached airport at 1700 hrs , well before as I was informed about the peak traffic
hours at LAX. Checked- in got my boarding pass for my ULH flight.

I checked out the star alliance lounge and also the new one world lounge , both were amazing. Star alliance lounge
was on the 5th floor.

boarding started , and were greeted by the purser, I was all tensed whether I could make my connections in
time , and I stepped in on my first ever marathon flight. The flight has 64J and 117 Y , a decent configuration.
At sharp 8 pm we departed , after a round of opening drinks hot towels and comfort kits. the captain said our
flight time would be nearly 17 hrs 45 mins , I was like o dear nearly 75% of a day in a compressed coke can,
amazing. We took off from USA and headed north wards over the pole , for our looooooong flight. Food , drinks
snacks cookies , chocolates all abundant , PLENTY of it. I drank lots of water ( i maintain this health habit).
IFE was full on , and incidentally the seat next to me was vacant and later found out it was used by the crew for
resting. occasionally the pilot & one FA would come. I slept for good 6 hrs in the flight. I opned my book and
started studying , with more and more drinks and snacks coming , I kept on eating like a horse ( or a mare rather)

Finally after switching my mind between studies and movies and occasionally chatting with a fellow crew member
besides me , we began our descend into changi at 0530 hrs local time , and within half an hour we were at our
gate , I was deplaned first , and i felt relieved after getting out of that tin , one SQ agent was there to rush
me to my connecting flight which had already announced boarding , ( in my mind i was like lemme breathe some
fresh air) , and I walked all the way to gate F 54 where the flight was already ready for boarding.



SQ 500


Singapore - Bangalore
Flight time: 4 hrs 25 mins
STD : 0645 hrs ATD: 0645hrs
STA : 0840 hrs ATA : 0815 hrs

The SQ agent made sure I reached the gate in time and was holding my boarding pass till then.
Flight boarding was done quickly and within no time we pushed back , with the regular drill of J services , FA's
were very good had few desis as well. Captain announced flight time was 3 hrs and 50 mins. After take off hot
breakfast was served and some fresh juices as well. flight was uneventful for a 4 hr flight IFE was ok non
AVOD. But I preferred to relax and bother how I would do my int'l to domestic connections. At 0800 hrs we
began our descend and after having a great view of Indian land , We landed at Hindustan international airport.
I was the first one to deplane , an SQ official was there and the captain had announced my name to get ready
to alight first. now we rushed through the immigrations , my luggage was already on the carousel and customs
cleared in a jiffy. It took me only 6mins and 10 secs to get out of the airport. We rushed to the domestic airport
where the IT ground staff was already charged up to check me in. 55 kgs of luggage was not an issue and got
checked - in . After getting my Boarding pass , I was taken to leela palace for my layover as th IT flight was
delayed slightly. The SQ agent had come specially from the local SQ office it seems. After relaxing in the hotel,
we moved to the airport and reached there at around , 0930 hrs.


IT 411

Bangalore - Pune
Flight time: 1 hr 20 mins
STD : 0940 hrs ATD: 0950hrs
STA : 1100 hrs ATA : 1120 hrs


Seat No. 15A
Loads : 100%
a/c: A320-232


Flight was delayed slightly and we were airborne at around 1005 am King fisher goodies kit drinks were served .
The FA's were good and as usual those flirty Kingfisher b**tches were wagging their butts around throughout.
A meal came our way which i had a little , and after that we started hovering around Pune which was congested
finally at 1115 hrs we landed and deplaned within 5 mins walked to the terminal and finally claimed my luggage ,
and SQ had arranged me a car drop at home , and Miss nalini was at home at 1200 hrs


I personally didn't like the non stop , IMO upto 13 hrs is ok for a non stop flight , after that It's difficult for me.

after the nice trips on SQ, how do u rate ur flights to conclude?

it's usual that all intl airlines maintain armies of ground staff on hand at BLR to assist pax with needs while completing their pre boarding formalities.

the captain announcing ur name? i thought the lead FAs do the job of letting pax disembark based on their connection requirements; quite strange.

& i agree with u, a stopover flt gets u to unwind inbetwn unlike a stuffy 18 hr coffin. after all ur transiting at asia's best airports like HKG, TPE NRT or ICN. the ULH are apt for tatl sectors avoiding the graves called LHR & CDG. FRA's a shade better.

And definitely want a detailed point-by-point comparison of the J on the 77W and the 345!

B77W is way better , the A345 is good as well the Seat almost reclines completely , but say a slightly overweight guy would find it a bit uncomfortable.

But on a given day I prefer the B77W to the A345 for J ...

But Nimish no comparison of the 2 J classes or rather any of the j classes.
