I saw at least 3 Classics awaiting to be scrapped in BOM last week. Also the A300 with IC would be a good gift to them. They need all the help to get back on their feet/wings.

My guess would be an interest/pricipal free loaner for the next 3 years onthese a/c would be a nice gesture. The Alliance 732s are best left in India than send them anywhere else.

It all depends on the country. Afghanisthan was a different case and needed things starting with pins and clips.

Iraq, however close India may be, may not take too kindly to being dumped with ancient 737s and A300/310s.

... and France is waiting actually. The green signal and they will be in Iraq with the A320 family. War-aviation diplomacy works best with the French, especially in the Arab/West Asia region. Their gesture, of French President Jacques Chirac's intervention, arranging for treatment for Yasser Arafat, and then flying Arafat's body back in the French Military A319 after full military honours won France even more solid support.

With all the oil in the world (unlike Afghanistan), why would Iraq want old aircraft anyways? In any case, North Iraq, under the Kurds, is back on the map via Turkey, from an aviation point of view. Kurdistan Airlines is now a reality, to and from North iraq. Some flights, Austrian I think, are already operating to Erbil. Suleimaniyah also has regular Kurdistan Airline flights.

Iraq is quietly, and not so quietly too, being carved into three pieces. Which one would the Indian oldies go to?

Boeing would sell aircrafts only if Iraq is in a condition to buy. Currently they aren't.
