here are some of my latest ... all are from inflight sales... yes, these are the inflight sale models available on AI, quite shameful!

the AI models are in 1:600 and 1:500 scale... with silly stickers as livery on them!

These were bought inflight, they are Herpa models with very good detail and no they are 1:400 so they go with my collection very well.

Nitin,

No offense, but Herpa AI 744 looks awful ( the one with rollable wheels).

1/600 models, especially the early Herpa and Schabak models always look like crap. They are more toys than collectors items.

Hi Aarbee... i totally agree with you, but as long as they are bought from inflight sales and have a registration number along with one from the manufacturer its going into my collection.

I have to admit, and i have discussed this earlier, that the Schabak models are total crap.

I just bought 4 more models,

DW South west airlines 737
Phoenix AIX 737 (two of these)
And one PIA A310 with the special tails.

DW
LH A342 (Star Alliance - with all *A partners on it)
US A332 (Black livery)

GJ
BA B772 (Canada tails)
DL MD 11 (awaiting)

I purchased DW AI B777-200 at Indus Aviation, BLR. They have a good collection of die cast models, models you can assemble and remote controlled models.

Sammyuk great collection,

However one sad part about the IC A300 is that they have chosen the all white fuselage one and not the traditional silver/grey belly

Himmat:

Do you recollect which other di cast models they had and what scale and price bracket--or all their stock was from DW??

That is done for ease of manufacture along with their other models. Don't be surprised if the traditional/delivery colors are done one day.

See, it is in the interest of the model manufacturer to make a less popular livery first than the one that everyone wants. If the popular one is made first then people may not buy the other.

This is the very first Indian Airlines model in 1/400 and I'm sure there will be more to come.

I am able to recollect a KLM L-1049 and a QF A-380. 1:400 were for Rs. 1295.00. Most of the die cast models were from DW.

I had asked one sales person for ATC scanners but she did not know what it was. I'll check again this week.

Ditto - but then I walked around the store and eyeballed all the shelves myself and was able to confirm that they did not have any in stock.

I don't know the exact number but I know I have over 800. Last time I counted them I had just under 800 and have added a bunch since then and am expecting a dozen or so this week.

It is fantastic collection. You must be proud of it. Is it 1/400?

I am a modeller, but lately am a bit lazy. The scale is bigger (1/144) which doesn't allow me to have many models, but it is nice to see finished model. Makes me feel proud.

Most of the 800+ are 1/400 with some 1/200 and 1/250 thrown in and some other misc. models.

I haven't messed with plastic kits in a long time but I always feel like getting back into it but never have time.

How many kits have you built?

I visited them this summer...sadly they have a very limited collection, & their prices are at least 1.5 times what you can find online or on eBay.

OK, so I gather they are corporate releases. Who made them though?

I'll likely be moving in a few months and the new house will have a perfact spot for models that size. Cool

These Models were sent over by Boeing to my Dad on delivery of the 1st 77L and 77W.

You can check out the manufacturer's website:

www.pacmin.com

A model the size i have costs about $200-300+ a piece.
