VietJet Air S20 India service expansion
VietJet Air in summer 2020 season plans network expansion in India, as the airline launches 3 routes from May.
Planned operation as follows.
Da Nang – Delhi
eff 14MAY20 5 weekly A320
VJ831 DAD1815 – 2130DEL 320 x26
VJ830 DEL2250 – 0520+1DAD 320 x26
Hanoi – Mumbai
eff 14MAY20 3 weekly A320
VJ907 HAN2020 – 2330BOM 320 246
VJ910 BOM0035 – 0655HAN 320 357
Ho Chi Minh City – Mumbai
eff 15MAY20 4 weekly A320
VJ883 SGN1955 – 2330BOM 320 x246
VJ884 BOM0035 – 0725SGN 320 x357
Separately, existing service will also see frequency increase:
Delhi – Hanoi
eff 29MAR20 Increase from 3 to 7 weekly
Ho Chi Minh City – Delhi
eff 29MAR20 Increase from 3 to 7 weekly

Sudden increase in capacity between Vietnam and India. Has the traffic increased so much.
Now 26 weekly flights by VietJet.
About 14 weekly flights by Indigo.
total 40 flights. This was 0 just about 18 months ago. |

I was in Ho Chi Minh twice recently, once in Dec and then again in Jan. I have never seen so many Indians on the streets of Saigon in the past. They were everywhere. Of course the presence got amplified by constant haggling in front of small shops and loud cheers in general! Looks like India has finally arrived in Vietnam!! |
