The Jet Airways void being filled gradually by BA now
British Airways on Tuesday (02JUL19) adjusted London Heathrow – Mumbai service for winter 2019/20 and summer 2020 season. In winter 2019/20 season, service operates 17 weekly instead of 14, from 26DEC19 to 06FEB20 (LHR departure). BA135/134 to be operated by 4-class 777-200ER.
BA135 LHR2135 – 1210+1BOM 777 146
BA134 BOM0245 – 0725LHR 777 257
From 01MAR20, BA will increase overall service to 21 weekly, with BA135/134 operated by 787-9 with new timing. This will switch to 4-class 777-200ER from 28MAR20, the launch of summer 2020 season.
Schedule below is effective 01MAR20 – 27MAR20.

BA135 LHR1215 – 0250+1BOM 789 D
BA199 LHR2040 – 1115+1BOM 777 D

British Airways around Wednesday (10JUL19) filed additional changes to London Heathrow – Mumbai route, for winter 2019/20 season.
From 06NOV19, BA199/198 service to be operated by 3-class 777-200ER, instead of 4-class aircraft.
The 3-class aircraft originally scheduled to commence on 29MAR20.

I guess they need seats more than F class. That said I am surprised that BA won't offer First on BA 139 (which can serve both London O&D and NA connecting). BA used to be the main choice for F class pax out of BOM going west. So other than EK, who offers F out of BOM anymore? |

Air India's 777 flights
Singapore Airlines on the A380s and some 777s
Lufthansa's 747s to Frankfurt
Korean Air's A330s have F

British Airways Sep 2020 Mumbai service adjustment as of 29AUG19
British Airways in the last few weeks extended schedule listing into September 2020. Based on schedule listing, the oneWorld member filed service changes for London Heathrow – Mumbai route from 08SEP20. From this date, preliminary schedule filing is displaying BA139/138 operated by 3-class 777-200ER aircraft, replacing 4-class aircraft.
With this adjustment, only 1 of 3 daily flight will see First Class service (BA135/134), instead of 2. Additional changes remain highly possible in the next few months.
