May be third time is the charm on the AMS-BLR route. First time Northwest cancelled even before starting up. Next Jet came and from anecdotal sources were doing reasonably ok until they ceased operations and now KLM. I think this time KLM should do better as the market has grown and there are good connections to No. America and same day decent connections to So. America.

Also helping will be, Netherlands is one of the few European countries to not require transit visa for Indian nationals for travel to countries other than US or Canada or EU (which are already waived for all carriers in Europe).

While arrival timings into BLR is not very good, departure is bearable, at least one avoids BLR traffic and they are no different than LH or AF.

AFAIK , none of the Schengen countries require a transit visa for Indian travellers. UK is the only one that demands a transit visa if you are not flying to US/UK.

Germany and Spain (in addition to UK) still do require transit visas for Indian nationals except for those having visas of US, UK, EU or Canada or are resident in those countries. Italy and France had it but now have removed the requirement.
