Interesting! Another new route for DEL. Is this targeting O&D traffic or connections to Europe? |

I would assume they are targeting the traditional India- North America traffic with short connections. Warsaw is a small airport and should help with low connection times. Should be interesting to see what destinations they connect into for NA traffic.
LOT serves NY, Chicago, Toronto, LA and Miami _________________ http://airliners1.com

Only twice weekly means that it is the backpacker tourist crowd that they are after.
They may get some VFR Indians travelling to the US, but I doubt WAW is a good place to transit. _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).

It's a 5 weekly service.
Other than a very tight connection to JFK and YYZ (one hour connection time) in Warsaw, this flight doesn't allow for other US connections. I suspect there's some India-Poland O&D traffic that will be buttressed by both India-EU/UK connections, and some traffic to JFK and YYZ.
I've heard good things about Warsaw's airport, and the onboard offering in J on their 787s. |
