A horrible attempt at a punny title.

I managed to log in another (4!!) Boeing 747 flight(s) thanks to a relatively decent winter fare on British Airways.

Started out with what used to be the prime intl. gateway in to the USA: departed out of JFK on BA116 one of several evening flights on G-CIVS.

Not an airline that's well reputed, but there were some surprises....

BA116 JFK-LHR + some bonus pictures -

Lovely, Sir. No puns are horrible Smile
However, I must say that the title made me expect, or rather, dream of a flight from LGA on a B744, heading southeast!
A delightful introduction to BA ops out of JFK to various points in London.
Though for me, a B744 does not sound quite exciting unless it is one of AI's refurbished birds, now sadly, not in pristine shape.
Your TR also brought back memories of my 2015 NYC trip, when I visited the Intrepid Museum. Frankly, talking about aircraft carriers, I liked the USS Midway at San Diego, better.
Gate 9-3/4ths, ha!
The name of the photographer for the DL 444 plane would be hilarious to a Hindi speaker Smile
How was the Chilean Red? I am rather curious to know this, given the state of the meal you were offered. The free Wifi was obviously welcome.
A malt loaf bar fro breakfast? Hmm...I had the impression that BA would at least keep the quantity reasonable (a hit and a miss, perhaps), but I guess I have my expectations quite skewed. (Somehow, the infamous Kumara Sangakkara, ``expectations...expectations...'' banter comes to mind Razz
The turns over London are always a delight.
Thank you once again Sir, for a great report!
Cheers, Sumantra.
