Anyone know what aircraft IB used on the route and how long the service lasted?
Did ME relaunch operation there in 1998 using A320? what was the routing and how long did they stay?
Was the operator ME itself or partners Air Liban or Lebanese International Airlines back in 1960s? |

I vaguely remember that Iberia used a 747 for their Tokyo flights via BOM |

Yes, Iberia operated a B742 twice a week to BOM and onward to NRT. The flight started in 1985-86 winter sked.
Lasted for a couple of years. _________________ Save Maharashtra! |

Don't know about BOM but MEA used to send a 707 freighter to MAA twice a week or so during the 1990s.
I used to see it while visiting my dad's office. Those JT3Ds were sheer music. _________________ I don't know which is the more pampered bunch : AI's widebodies (the aunties) or Jet's widebodies (the planes).
