I think this would be among a handfull of planes or maybe the only one to have Star Alliance livery at the time of delivery.

btw! where is AI using these 20+ birds.. I mean on which all routes.

The only one thus far, IIRC. From its fleet size, AI need 2 planes in the *A livery: they have three. VT-ESF, a venerable double bogey A320, VT-ALJ `Bihar' a B77W, and VT-ANU.

DEL is a Dream)liner delight, with AI's birds all around the place - in action, not sunning themselves. Where do they operate?
The longer/dense domestic routes: BLR & CCU, MAA at times.
Internationally: most of the medium haul routes: UK and Europe, South-East Asia, the far east and Japan, Australia, and on certain middle east routes. A bit more synergy and coordinated planning between the different units, and this can really be the game-changer for AI, unlike the situation today where even the Dream)liner's economics does not do well for the airline.
Cheers, Sumantra.

I echo Aseem's question - I know AI has launched a lot of new routes but it is amazing they are using all of their 22 787s. Good for them if they are.

22 have been delivered out of a total order of 27.

And none of them are being converted to 789s.
