Vistara from Delhi to Pune
Background
The last leg of my Incredible India trip was to fly from New Delhi to Pune. I was in two minds, to redeem one ticket on Jet Airways and purchase another or to purchase both on some other airline. With the previous two legs being on Jet Airways & Air India, Vistara became the carrier for this journey to experience all the Full Service Carriers in the country. _________________ www.networkthoughts.com |

Another lovely TR, Sir!
- The inconsistency in the Vistara check-in experience does not bode well for the new airline. Yes, Taj-SATS is fine, but AI check-in agents with Vistara pins? Seat changes? Incorrect information to a Silver member? I am a bit surprised, and disappointed.
- Which joint did you patronise at the DEL T3 food court?
- The sheer difference in the veg and non-veg offerings also does not bode well for the airline. The non-veg offering also looks far better than the veg one. Air India for one, gives some rather compelling options, more often than not.
- Baggage coming out quickly at Pune: do you credit Vistara with this, or is this a welcome turn-around for the baggage handlers at Lohegaon, who have been rather disappointing with the experience one usually gets? I doubt if this is a predominant AI shortcoming at PNQ, since I have seen random belt changes, incorrect information on the board, and some very delayed luggage arrivals.
Thanks for a lovely concluding part, once again. We now look forward to reading the non-aviation part!
Cheers, Sumantra. |

Yes. They tweeted to me saying they ll look into it but never bothered to respond as yet. Need to check
We had food at one of the TFS run outlet - chinese one, I dont remember the name
As for PNQ - the credit for early baggage arrival has to be given to the airline. _________________ www.networkthoughts.com |

Nice Vistara report.
I wouldn't assume an airline would upgrade silver FF members- unless they have a standard policy of paid upgrades at check in. Doesn't make sense. _________________ eP007 |

Actually from a revenue management perspective it makes a lot of sense ! to oversell Y class which is doing good for the airline _________________ www.networkthoughts.com |

You mean paid upgrades at check in or if Y was overbooked? Yea I agree that's a good idea.
I thought you meant a free upgrade because you were Vistara silver, that didn't make sense to me. _________________ eP007 |

And a lovely final part from you, sir.
What a coincidence! You had a so-so flight on TTC, so did you. I guess this puts things into perspective now - Vistara do have the odd not so nice flights, but I guess uncomfortable seats would be on TTC for a while. Strange to see a not-so-nice meal on Vistara, too
Anyways, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to more from you
Regards
