So what's the deal here - aren't the Patels traditionally well off and smart folks and not subjected to any kind of discrimination which needs to be remedied by reservations?

Is this "politically motivated" (a Cong sponsoring trouble for the BJP govt)?

I heard that the guy who is spearheading this is somehow affiliated to AAP. Not sure though!

The Patels don't need any reservations.

Neither do the Yadavs, Kapus, Jats and numerous other rich and politically powerful groups.

These arrogant and politically connected idiots are the only reason why the reservation policy isn't benefiting the ones who really need it.

It is downright ridiculous and disgusting that the rich in India want to corner all the resources and opportunities for themselves, with little or no concern for their less privileged compatriots.

I hope the government cracks down heavily on these selfish fools.
