I have around 40000 skymiles left in my Delta FFP. Can anybody suggest a way to use it. I dont have any plans for international travel. No option for domestic (Indian) booking with skymiles??

Shopping (not sure of the delivery charges to India)

https://marketplace.delta.com/

Hotel Booking
https://travelmarketplace.delta.com/travel/arc.cfm

Or simply donate it to charity Smile

DL does not have an Indian domestic partner to redeem miles unlike UA, which has both Jet and AI. However DL miles do not expire (at least currently). Hold on to these miles may be you can give it to someone who can use in Europe or N. America.

The lowest miles for a one way from India to Europe on AF or KL is 35,000 miles and to N. America is 40,000 miles, but it is very difficult to redeem at that level.

As mentioned above, DL skymiles do not expire so I would suggest holding on to them for now. 40k miles is very difficult to use internationally, even domestically it can be difficult to find low tier award inventory unless searching very far in advance.

The latter is one of DL's Skymiles' best features, right now. Yes, earlier one could earn 9W miles with NW (and DL, later). I earned my first NW-induced JP miles in 2005, and last with DL, in their last month of 9W mile-earning arrangement, in Sep/Oct 2012.
Cheers, Sumantra.
